"Bonded" by Jimbo
Pairing: Gamble/Street (Jeremy Renner, Colin Farrell)
Warnings: A little nasty. Slash, bondage.

Title: "Tether Ball" (200 words)

With a deft move Jim Street fastened the cuff around his ex-partner's left wrist; when the confused Gamble looked over and tried to protest, he found his right arm equally encumbered.

"Wha?"

Street smiled grimly, watching Brian Gamble struggle to shake off sleep. "Here's the rules, starting with the things you can do."

The two sets of handcuffs fastened to the head of Gamble's bed held his muscular arms wide, posed like a naked gymnast. He seemed to only half-listen to Street as he tested their strength.

Impatient, Street continued. "You can sit up, if you try. You can probably manage to scratch your nose. You can take a p*** or a s***, if you don't mind lying in it."

Street stretched out next to Gamble. "If you want to eat or drink, you'll have to ask." He trailed his hand down a ridge of hipbone and nestled his fingertips in the mossy lawn above Gamble's inert c***. "If you want anything else, you have to beg."

"You're f**king kidding me," Gamble said, finally recognizing the seriousness of the situation.

"And here's what you can't do."

Gamble took a deep breath. "What's that, Jimbo?"

"Ever walk out on me again."

Title: "Force of Nature" (100 words)

"You can't keep me like this, Jimbo."

Brian Gamble's tone was wheedling. His arms were aching, and the skin around his wrists was raw from straining against the handcuffs that had him tethered to the bed.

His former partner didn't respond. He sat across the room, feet up, chewing gum as he stared darkly at Gamble. What the f**k is he thinking, Gamble wondered, still shocked at finding himself held captive by S.W.A.T.'s straight-shooter, Jim Street.

"What do you plan to do now?" Gamble asked, wincing at a sudden pang from his equally raw anus.

Street smiled. "Take my time."

Title: "There's the Rub" (100 words)

"I've got a cramp in my leg, Jimbo. Jesus, it's killing me!"

A naked Jim Street crouched on the damp mattress and kneaded the bulging quadricep, trying to ease the painful muscle spasm. He knew his ex-partner wasn't one to complain needlessly. Brian Gamble had always been fearless and stoic about everything, except, of course, going to the dentist.

"That's one hell of a kink you got there," Street said, still working on the leg.

Gamble craned his neck and looked pointedly at the handcuffs tethering him to the bed.

"I guess I could say the same for you, brother."

= = = = = = = = = =

Title: "Indefinite" (200 words)

"You're getting chafed," Jim Street said as he massaged cream into his former partner's wrist, sliding the bracelet of the handcuff up and down as he worked.

"Why don't you just unlock the f**kers?" asked Brian Gamble. Fettered to the headboard for nearly 48 hours, his mood ricocheted between resignation and fury.

"Can't do it," Street answered, shaking his head and moving to the other arm.

"It doesn't bother a straight-arrow like you that you're breaking a string of laws here, including kidnapping, assault and sodomy?"

Street paused for a minute in his ministrations. "There's no law against securing your own property. And I'm taking good care of you. You're probably getting more rest and nourishment than you have since you left 'S.W.A.T.'"

Gamble groaned. "Jimbo, I think you've officially lost it."

Not answering, Street sat down on the bed and started to stroke Gamble's muscled chest. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Do you need your diaper changed?"

"F**k you, Jimmy!"

Street lowered his face to Gamble's chest, rubbing his stubble and muffling his answer against naked skin.

"How long do you plan on keeping me here?" Gamble asked.

Sitting up, Street sighed and shrugged. "As long as it takes."

Title: "Consummate Bond" (200 words)

Tears crawled down Brian Gamble's flushed cheeks, and he was unable to wipe them away with hands still cuffed to the head of his bed.

"Did I hurt you?" Jim Street asked in a husky voice. "I swear to God I didn't mean to."

Gamble's breath caught, his quaking chest leveling out as he slowly regained control. His light eyes stared up at the ceiling as he refused to meet the intense stare of his former partner.

"Maybe I am f**king insane," Street said, "keeping you like this." Squatting on the mattress on his haunches, he suppressed a shudder, a nearby fan already chilling his damp skin. Gamble's response was muttered so softly, Street couldn't make it out. He leaned close.

"What did you say, Brian?"

"It didn't hurt. Not like the first time," Gamble replied. "I almost said, 'please don't,' when you started." He paused, then gave a great sigh. "Jimbo, I'm glad I didn't."

Street's expression softened, and he lowered his face to Gamble's sticky belly and nestled it against the precious, flaccid c*** curled there. "That's what I almost said in the locker room, when I knew you were leaving me," he whispered.

"I'm sorry I didn't."

= = = = = = = = = =

Title: "Bellyache" (100 words)

"You want some powder on your ass?"

Jim Street's tongue peeked out between taut lips as he carefully folded up the soiled diaper he had just removed from his former partner, Brian Gamble. Gamble, tethered to his bed with handcuffs, was muttering something about a stomach ache.

"F**k you, Jimbo! How can you treat me like a baby after everything we went through together?"

Street leveled dark eyes on Gamble. "It's easy. You are my baby."

"Jesus, Jimmy. It hurts!"

"What hurts, Bri? Your gut? Your wrists? Your hole?"

Gamble swallowed and groaned. "No, mother-f***er," he finally said.

"My heart."

= = = = = = = = = =

Title: "Top Gun" (100 words)

Brian Gamble rubbed his raw wrists, avoiding the scrutiny of his former partner and recent captor.

"You're not such a maverick anymore," Jim Street said, tossing the handcuffs aside and turning away.

Gamble raised his head, a spark behind his eyes. "Wha?"

"You heard me," Street said. "I'm top now."

"You're top? Top Dog?"

"Top Gun."

Grunting, Gamble suddenly tackled Street's back. Hot breath seared Street's neck and earlobe as Gamble hissed, "Let's see if you can be such an iceman when you're the one getting f**ked, Jimmy!"

Then Gamble smiled for the first time in hours.

"It's my turn."

Yeah, I did change my settings so I'd get LJ News (from [info]news) in my email.

No. I really don't need to get it three times.

LJ has no bugs, though. Isn't that what people have been telling me since the first of this year?

Right.

Bri

Current Mood: bugged bugged

I just got the FOLLOWING error message from LJ:

This journal is in read-only mode right now while database maintenance is performed on the server where the journal is located. Try again in several minutes.

(I was trying to post a comment to a comment in a friend's blog. Man.)

PLUS, the damned time/date gave me THIS message:

Note: The time/date above is from our server. Correct them for your timezone before posting.

Wha?????????????

(I guess I'd better go see what time and date posted on my last recent entry, as I didn't notice it before. Man. Talk about being entirely screwed up...)

Oh, but LiveJournal has no problems. Right? There's never anything that goes hinky here...

Sure.

Bri (getting more disillusioned by the minute...)

Current Mood: cranky cranky

You're a LiveJournal Junkie!

Well, maybe you don't live or die for LiveJournal, but it's what gets you up in the morning.

Guilty of reloading your friends page over and over throughout the day? Thought so.

Quick, get some fresh air - before you become a full fledged addict!

So, should I be surprised, or what? LOL.

Bri

Current Mood: good good

For those who don't read [info]news, LiveJournal announced a little 'gift' today!

Quick, Open This Package! )

About time they upped the userpics (icons) here for free users... I mean, it's 2,000 free over at GreatestJournal. (I think I said 1,000 before. I lied. I just went and checked to be sure.)

Admittedly, LJ has a lot more users than GJ. But still! LOL.

I didn't see them raising the base userpic amount for paid LJs, though! That's still only 15! (Which sucks.) You have to PAY for an upgrade to get the (absolutely necessary) 100 icons!

Anyway, I suppose I should just cheer the 'gift' and quit being an ass, right?

Hey, but what did I get? I mean, it's all about me! (LOL.) I got 'extra storage space.' But I don't use the storage space I've got, so... (Is that referring to LJ Scrapbook, or what???)

For me, it's always going to be about icons (userpics). Just give me more! More, more, more.

Bri

I was just trying to answer a comment at a community. My answer was long. And detailed.

And guess what happened???

Ate it. I got yet another error message.

So, as Jimmy [info]just_jimbo says, "LiveJournal is f**ked."

We both are wondering if it's ever going to be as good as it was prior to the move... Man.

Bri (who needs to go for now...)

I'm so proud! I spent ages trying to figure out how to do this animated rain effect last night -- and I finally reasoned it out. LOL.

I started with this icon:
1

And ended with this:
animated rain - gray

I had the question pop up in the Paint Shop Pro 7 community -- and, frankly, I find it more difficult to do things there! (Those who have PSP7 and want to give it a try can locate the tutorial here

First off, I just don't use that earlier version of the software very often any more -- EXCEPT to do tutorial, of course. LOL.

Secondly, the software doesn't have the power (features, etc.) of PSP8 or (especially) PSP9! So naturally I use version 9 when I'm making my OWN stuff!

Anyway, poor Jimmy [info]just_jimbo got an ear full of my crap before bed. I was just going on and on about it, because I was so excited! Yeah, it's about TIME I figured it out, but, hey, I'm no genius here... LOL. What I like is that it's actually a simple effect, once you know how it's done!

However, note that I figured out the effect before bed last night. It's now past noon here and I'm just finally finished writing up the tutorial. (Man, writing tutorials -- and testing them -- takes a load of time!)

Now I need to CONVERT this tutorial for PSP8 and PSP9. Sigh. (It's a big pain, mainly because they moved where everything IS when they went from 7 to 8. Dang!) Plus I've got another tutorial cooking that I had around prior to this one... LOL.

Hello, LiveJournal? Sure delighted you decided to MOVE and 'improve' your service! Wow. Seems like there's been nothing but issues since then. Memories don't work half the time (or you need to refresh three times to get to them), commenting is a pain, we're getting dozens of old comments FINALLY emailed to us, LJ keeps giving me 'error' messages (and ate an entry!!!!!!!!!) and nothing works up to normal speed...

I already typed up a different version of this entry and LOST it. (That'll teach me to type directly into the window at LJ, rather than type it up and then cut and paste it! Naw. It probably won't teach me... Too bad I never seem to learn for long!)

Oh! And THANKS to those of you who either commented or wrote to me about S2 styles. I ended up going with 'Smooth Sailing' (which is probably the best style for a FREE community). Those interested can see the results here.

I'd especially appreciate hearing what my fellow moderation staff members think, by the way! At least this allow me to increase font size and make things easier to read. (I could hardly read the other version -- and we'd had some complaints, as well.)

Well, Jimbo gave me his approval -- said he liked how it looked! Anyway, thoughts on this from anyone are appreciated!

As for Flexible Squares (which I was starting to like quite a bit -- and which Jimmy uses) and I have ended our love affair, I'm afraid. I don't think you should need a PAID account -- and the use of advanced customization in the form of style sheets -- to get BASIC functions with a style. Yeah, we're going by MY opinion as to what is basic, but I don't think I'm that unreasonable about it...

Now that I've spent ages re-writing my entry, I've got to check on the kids!

Later, all!

Bri

Current Mood: accomplished accomplished

I just wrote a rather lengthy entry and had LJ eat it.

I've got to go now and I've lost what I wanted to post.

Can you guys imagine how steamed I am?

<snarkiness>Wow. Sure glad LJ decided to move! And didn't it IMPROVE the way things work?</snarkiness>

I was trying to post a comment. I must have accidently hit some key (something I seem to do ALL the time, by the way), so I'd only typed in a subject line...

So snarky LJ gives me the following message:

WARNING! LJ is Very Snarky! )

Up yours, LJ!

(Yeah, I crack myself up!)

It's official! Jimmy's now posted here 100 times! LOL.

Have I ever mentioned that I frequently send in links to fandom-related entries written by flisters for the [info]metafandom community?

No?

Well, I do. LOL.

And I'm always delighted when one ends up being shared there.

Check here to see one I sent in by [info]painless_j...

ETA: Actually, [info]painless_j isn't even a member of my flist! (Wonder where I gacked that entry? LOL.) But honest, I HAVE sent in fandom-related links from people who ARE on my flist!

ETA (again): OK, now I get it. I've added [info]painless_j, but wasn't added back. I thought I was going CRAZY for a minute there! LOL.

Cool, huh?

Bri

Where the hell has he been? Me, I mean! LOL.

Well, when I've been online, I've been messing around with my account over at Greatest Journal...

(For those who have an LJ -- but not a GJ -- you can easily get one: GreatestJournal)

What I'm doing is taking my entire LJ and pretty much 'cloning' it at GJ.

OK, I don't blame you if you're wondering WHY the hell I'm doing that! LOL. I'm such a weird guy...

See, I told Kevin [info]kevinr that I'd gladly try to help with the Paint Shop Pro communities that he's got over there. (In fact, he told me I could set up the version 9 one if I wanted to, so I did exactly that...) I'm not sure what the history is, but he and several friends have been active at both LJ and GJ, so he cloned two of his PSP communities for GJ. But none of the mods have done much there, in spite of good intentions.

And believe me, I'm not being critical! Hell, I've no clue if I can do one jot better! Plus I think the WORLD of the members of the PSP communities moderation 'staff' that I know and have interacted with -- people like Charlie [info]charliemc, Becky [info]beckyo and Kevin [info]kevinr, himself!

I just figure that some people are more active than others online -- and at LJ and GJ -- while others are less so. Plus this might be a thing that varies according to what's going on in RL and so on...

Anyway (sticking to the subject), I thought I should actually have a blog there if I'm going to be a moderator.

OH!!! There's also big news! (Well, I think it's big! LOL.) Kevin wants me to be an OFFICIAL ASSISTANT MOD for his communities. He made me an 'unofficial' mod some time back, so that I could use the tags feature for tutorials. But that meant I don't sign posts with 'assistant moderator' (which Kevin makes his 'staff' do every time). And I don't have any official power to make decisions or anything, the way the mods actually do. (Charlie's been really running stuff in many ways, with Kevin not that active online these days.)

I've been writing him with tons and tons of 'ideas' for improvements. He's very enthused! LOL. (Me, too, obviously.) I'd like to rewrite the user info pages, so that they're more organized and make more sense. Anyway, that's where a lot of my online engery has been going! (That and the tutorials I've been writing.)

So... haven't you guys wondered where the hell I've been???

My last few entries here have been so... well... BLAH!!! (LOL.)

Believe it or not, I actually posted four times on Sunday (August 28). But most of those posts were 'private.'

Why post private at all?

Well, as I've noted before, I tend to use my LJ for a variety of things. (I can't find that entry for the life of me, though -- and I hunted and hunted for it. Damn. Sigh.)

Anyway, my LJ is like a big NOTE PAD for me. I put a lot of notes to myself in my blog and check those things often...

I imagine if I ever actually start to cook worth a damn that I'll use it as my recipe book, for example. Or I keep track of links I want to check and stuff. And notes about the family. All sorts of odd stuff. LOL. Not stuff anyone else would want to read, but just crap for me.

I've also got a filter set up for stuff Jimbo might want to know. (I should do that for Bobby, too! I mean, grocery-related notes and crap like that.) It's better than a bulletin board for me!

(No, don't ask what I'd do if LJ went down!!! I don't even want to think about that, thank you very much...)

Getting Lengthy, So More Updates HERE )

Jimbo's been in to 'see what I'm doing' now more than once, so I guess he needs some husbandly attention! LOL.

Brian

Current Mood: busy busy

I am SO upset right now...

ETA: Yeah, skip my DRAMA.

(Jimbo told me to stay cool and not freak out about this. He was -- as usual -- so right! I'll explain later. LOL.)

All is back to normal!

It's funny, because I spent part of last night helping friend Kyra [info]koisunset 'fix' her LJ style. LOL.

That's funny because I'm having a bunch of issues with my own today... (Damn it.)

I mentioned before that things weren't displaying correctly. So I messed around and messed around. Basically I 'lost' my actual layout. Now seeing as I'm pretty attached to it, that's a big downer.

Oh well, I'll either figure it out or I won't. I can always go with another style if I have to, I guess.

I'm sticking with S2, though. I'm invested in the new tags feature -- and there are no plans for them to ever support tags in S1!

I just want my basic LJ to be BACK the way it was yesterday. What gives???

(And somebody explain to me why S2 has to be so hard. I mean, why can't somebody who has a frigging LIFE -- and really doesn't have time and energy to learn yet another way to code -- use it? I can code in HTML and CSS, so shouldn't that be good enough??? Crap.)

Disgusted Brian.

Current Mood: pissed off pissed off

For those interested, you can read all about it (and more) HERE. (And if you haven't added [info]news in the past, you might want to do so... It's supposed to be the first place we find out about changes here at LJ. Of course, as we already know, it's not where I found out about the 100 icons! LOL.)

I have to admit that the increase to 100 icons (with the paid UPGRADE, of course) is quite an incentive to keep an account both paid and upgraded... LOL. (Love those icons!)

Brian

Current Mood: excited excited

Yes, we CAN link to our Tags (the new 'tag' feature). If you go to my RECENT POSTS (directly viewing my LJ), you'll see that I have a link to my own TAGS in my left-hand column navigation area...

This is EXTREMELY helpful for moderators (maintainers) managing communities where entries are referred to on a regular basis. (Especially in light of how often memories tend to be down. Sigh.)

But I also think it's cool for individual journals!

And Here's How! )

I think eventually we'll all get better about using tags. Right now it's still so NEW!

By the way, did you know... ?

IMPORTANT: You can only use ONE WORD names (keywords) for tags!

To get around it, you can do this:

I want a tag for my baby girl, Katie Scarlett. So I use:

katie_scarlett

OR

katie-scarlett

Does anybody know other ways around the problem?

I suppose you could use the following as word dividers:

~
=
|
*
^

(And so on.)

I've successfully used a forward slash ( / ), by the way...

Brian

Current Mood: helpful helpful

Yes. I've finally seen it confirmed by LJ...

See HERE! )

...and just yesterday I was bitching that I'd used 48 out of my 50... LOL.

That's really a worthwhile paid feature, I have to say!

So why the HELL isn't it mentioned in [info]news? Or somewhere similar? (I spent a long time hunting for 'official' word before I thought of checking the Payment Area!

Thanks to my various friends who mentioned it, though!

Bri

Current Mood: excited excited

OK, so I just have to share this latest LJ oooo-eeee-oooo thing!

But first, I need to REC the recent entry of my friend Livvy [info]live2luv68!

More About it Here! )

So go and read and join the commenting fun. Seriously.

And on the subject of LJ-Weirdness...

Recently friend Kyra [info]koisunset had written me about how an icon she was naming seemed to just NAME ITSELF! (She thought the name given the icon in question was cool, so she was OK with it. LOL.)

Well, I had sort of the same thing happen to me today! Must explain!

So Read About the LJ-Weirdness Here! )

So how weird is THAT?

Don't tell me LJ doesn't have some bugs! LOL.

Brian

Current Mood: confused, but still happy! confused, but still happy!

Anybody here ever want to post the LJ user or community tags anywhere outside LJ? (Like at your website or another blog?)

Or do you ever feel annoyed that a person will click the link to another user/person or a community and be taken AWAY from your entry/comment?

That's where FAUX tags come in. LOL.

Go right ahead and click these:

b_f_d

jim_street

(They may look the same as [info]b_f_d and [info]just_jimbo -- but they're NOT! LOL.)

Want the code? (Sure you do! LOL.) Well, maybe most people won't find a use for these, but I sure have...

For a community:

For a user/person:

I don't know why I'm compelled to share something this random, but you know how it is...

Brian

Current Mood: clever! clever!

I. Did. It.

LOL. I'm so damned proud you'd think I just cured cancer, or something!

Seriously, I managed to find 132 images/pics of either Gamble or Street (or occasionally both), resize them, make them transparent around the edges (sort of rounded -- converted to .gif format), upload them and write the code for using them.

First I had to type up the entire list of 132 moods (and the official numbers for each) -- which was no small task! (I'm going to post it here so maybe others can be spared the work! LOL.)

Obviously a person doesn't HAVE to create more than the base 15 images, but I wanted to do it. (So it's my own fault if it's a ton of extra work. LOL.)

Charlie [info]charliemc and MM [info]mistressmarilyn were all over the idea of this theme and offered to 'host' it for us. (You need to put the actual images up to some website that allows image linking.) I need to help them set up to use it...

Anyway, as you can easily see, I've set it up for both Jimbo and me! LOL. Fun, fun...

Yesterday I'd loaded up and was using Lierre's Crappy Moodtheme -- which being such a scatboy, I really, really love. LOL.

So I had that for under 24 hours. But I liked it while I did, anyway!

There are loads more there at that community, by the way: [info]li_moods

If you have a paid account and want to change your theme, go and check it out...

Meanwhile, I'll just bask in the fun of having made my own!

Now I can make more at any time, knowing how basically simple it really is. (Yeah, yeah, Jimbo -- I did put a lot of effort into this, but that's beside the point! LOL.)

Brian

Current Mood: proud proud

I actually wrote this yesterday. LOL. But I didn't finish it 'til today.

Monday and Tuesday were busy (busy!) days here, as I was trying to do some serious cleaning while still watching the kids (while both Jimbo [info]just_jimbo and Bobby [info]bobbylovesmusic were at work)...

I still have so much work today! LOL. Anyway, off to my 'little' rant. LOL.

Rant, Anyone? )

Well, I'm so STUPID I didn't realize you can type in your own mood and then use one of the 132 moods to display a mood image for your personal mood! It didn't used to do that, did it? How are we supposed to KNOW it does that? Just guess? Accidently figure it out (which is what I did)? Yeah, I'm stupid... (sigh)...

I still want to create that mood theme. A slashy Gamble/Street one, specifically -- in honor of Jimbo's and my OTP from "S.W.A.T." (of course). We'll see if I can get the info I need. LOL.

Brian
